Complaints Performance Monitoring

South Wales Police Authority is responsible for monitoring the complaints received by the Force.

This is done on a quarterly basis, by the Quality of Service Group, which receives updates on the trends of complaints received by South Wales Police.

The documents below show the levels of compaints over the last year.

The latest figures show that between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2010, a total of 1,059 allegations were made against employees of South Wales Police. This represents a 5.1% increase compared to the 1,008 allegations recorded during the same period 2008/9.
