John Littlechild is the longest serving member of the Police Authority, having been involved since 1989. He is a Magistrate, and was made Vice-Chair of the Authority in June 2008. Mr Littlechild received the MBE for service to the community in the New Years Honours List 2007. He is retired, and lives in the Penylan area of Cardiff.
